Well, that's because I changed it. This feels more me, more right than the purple that this journal used to be. I'll stick with it until I start to get real crazy wit it. Who knows how it'll be coded up next. hehe.

I kinda just play any game? As long as it looks interesting, I'll play it. Even if it looks like straight up ass. One of my favorite things to do is wait for Steam Nextfest and download a bunch a demos to show off to my friends. As far as online games, I don't like them because of my early days playing COD online. But I like Splatoon and I did play Overwatch (worst days of my life fr).

This is kinda just what's come to my head in no particular order.
- The Aftonsparv Plushie - The little alien from Ikea is my favorite thing right now. I love him. His name is Gleep. I'm kinda obsessed with little aliens.
- My plants!! - I have a money tree that is my petulant little thang and four succulents (Aloe, Echeveria, Haworthia, and Lithops)
- Get to talk about my fav characters with my friends - And I get sent new fanart of him every day. Life is great when you don't like a series that's been dead for years.
- Designing my little OCS - Currently I'm working on my merman OC and his friends.
- Making fun little graphics is my passion - I need to do this more often. It's really fun to do it with my ocs. I might make a bunch today actually... if the sims 4 doesn't get me first.
- Naruto Watch Party - Been watching it with

Ah, summer foods. When I think about summer, I really do think about going to my grandma's house in Florida with all my cousins. BBQ ribs, sausages, low country boils with everyone sitting outside just yapping. My grandma also sold these things called honey drippers which were just frozen Kool-Aid in a cup that you'd eat with a spoon. So kinda like shaved ice, if I really think about it.
Summers were also for going with my older cousins to the corner store or down the street to get snacks/drinks or going by this fried seafood place (that was definitely shady and probably had a crazy health rating) to get hush puppies, fried okra, and fried catfish. I miss it, honestly.
But its summer now! So I'm about to grill this watermelon. Somehow. Idk. I don't really have a grill. Maybe I'll pan fry it.
Here's a collage I made in about an hour or so. It has some of my favorite food which I will put into a handy bulleted list. Wowie!
- Milo's Sweet Tea. I don't think anyone else makes sweet tea, tbh. I can down an entire gallon by myself.
- Funnel cake
- Fried plantains
- Kiwis :D despite the fact that I might be allergic to them.

Journaling: The romance of summer! What do you love? Write about anything you feel sentimental about or that gets your heart pumping.

Okay no. Maybe. What I really, really love is kinda just living. That sounds kind of boring, but I genuinely just love life.
To get more specific, I get all sentimental when I see the sun through the leaves, when I'm walking and just watching a bug do its thang.
When I talk to other people, when I draw, when I see people drawing, when I listen to music, when I eat something really tasty, when I cook.
So yeah, I think I just love life as a broad category. Top things are drawing, music, food, and video games though. Mmm dopamine. I think I'll
just talk about my favorite songs and games though.

Journaling Prompt: Light up your journal with activity this month. Talk about your goals for July or for the second half of 2025.
Hello, hello one and all. I'm gonna be so real right now, I don't have really concrete goals for the rest of July. They're all kind of just... in the air of what needs to be done sooner or later. In general, for the rest of the month:
- Write more in my journal!!! RAAAA put my thoughts out there!
- Finish my summer quarter with at LEAST and 80. I was gonna say 90 but we need to be realistic
- Donate my clothes to Goodwill
- Repot my money tree
- Put away my clothes frfr this time
- Finish this OC drawing.
- Sketch out my bigger drawing on my computer.

I died for a bit. I'm still dying, actually. It turns out that when you try to get a degree in communications, you will be doing A LOT of writing. Who knew?
Anyways. I'll try and figure out what the hell I'm really doing here. Maybe write actual character lore and a sort of weekly diary entry thing, even though I don't really do much. But who says life needs to be interesting (God I want school to end).
Little fun things I've done recently:

Little fun things I've done recently:
- Made a fish coin pouch and it came out really good! I sewed it backwards, so when I turned my work, it was inside-out on one side. But I've learned and now I'm making another one for my friend! They've chosen a glitter fabric so pray for me.
- I also made one of those cardboard ragdolls. I'm trying to figure out how to get him to stand or sit, but it's fun to just flick him around. It's like gmod physics.
- I've cleared out all my old clothes! Freedom!!! Now I need to put away the ones I kept (the pain is never-ending)

Apr. 17th, 2025 04:06 pmOkay! I'm starting up a thing now where I talk about what the hell is bugging me today! Kinda vent-y, kinda just me needing to complain into the void. So yeah, whatever. Maybe I'll do one of these weekly, maybe I'll do them as a problem comes to me. Who knows!
Anyways, today's problem: Art Programs.
I'm trying to make a nice gift for my friend using the laser cutter/engraver that I have access to to make some sort of like... wood block talisman thingy? Yeah. So the plan is to make it with their favorite character in mind and I'm gonna cut a little whole in the top to loop one of those hard plastic or embroidery braids through so they can tie it on something. Very cool, very chic.
But no art program I have access to has the ability to snap images to the canvas!!! What the hell! I'm trying to center these stupid images in the middle and sides, but I can't! I have programs on my desktop that allows me to do it, but I'm using my small little HP laptop since I'm out and about. Then to add insult to injury? The gold embroidery thread I was going to braid in is too small for the thread holder we have here! I can't stop losing!!
I know that the programs have the ability to snap to a ruler, but that only applies to the brushes so I'm just S.O.L. Sad!!
I'll just have to do the file at home and bring it in next week...

Mikki's Strange Thoughts
Mar. 8th, 2025 03:07 pmI'm kinda miffed right now. I bought Monster Hunter Wilds and it looks like hot ass on my PC. I know that my graphics card is sorta old but the way that it's sooo unoptimized pisses me off. The good news is that I can play it and it runs just fun. Just looks like shit. But oh well! Smacking monsters with my hammer!
Here's my hunter, I realized that the face paint can make his entire face black and that there was contour makeup. He looks great! Except for when he smiles or talks. I don't like that.
