Challenge #6 Journaling prompt: What games do you play, if any? Are you a solo-gamer or do you view games as a social activity?
I kinda just play any game? As long as it looks interesting, I'll play it. Even if it looks like straight up ass. One of my favorite things to do is wait for Steam Nextfest and download a bunch a demos to show off to my friends. As far as online games, I don't like them because of my early days playing COD online. But I like Splatoon and I did play Overwatch (worst days of my life fr).

Let me tell YOU, the viewer, about my personal favorite peak game of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (2023)!

It's got music! It's got character designs! It's got customization options for your ride gear! IT'S GOT GRAFFITI AND VIBES!!!

With Jet Set Radio & Future being one of my favorite games, I was excited when I heard about BRCF back in 2020. It filled a JSR sized hole in my widdle heart. When it came out though? Oh, when it came out...
It's improved on a lot of annoying things in JSR and feels like it's its own thing. I was especially happy seeing some many black characters in the game since JSR took a lot from black culture with the only representation in it being Combo, Piranha, and Garam.
The music in the game and graffiti in the game are amazing, especially since they sourced it all and have given proper credit. 2Mello is my favorite music artist and YAPICO is my favorite graffiti artist. They even got YAPICO to voice two black characters (DJ Cyber and Tryce).

My favorite things about the game are:

Being able to give any character a movestyle. I like not being chained to certain characters for inline skates, BMX. or skateboards. Skateboard is my favorite, bikes second.
The music mixing. Oh my God, doing the high score and listening to the DJ Cyber radio? Literally heaven.
The controls for doing graffiti are the best and I like how it lights up the ones you COULD press. Once you learn the ones you like though? Shit is buttery smooth.
The character designs!! I'm a sucker for big sleeves or big pants, they're my favorite things in the world.
The graffiti and music is again, really well done. Everyone who submitted art for the contest did really great, even if certain styles aren't to my taste.
All the dance emotes in the game are really good. I'll have my favorites spoiler tagged at the bottom but if you don't think you'll ever get the game, check it out anyways!
